Pinterest Manager tips
You may have heard of a Pinterest Manager but are wondering what they do. Each Pinterest Manager will operate differently but we all follow the same guidelines.
Before we start anything when we work with a client we ask if there are any photographs that they would want to be used or if stock photos work best. Then we find out what your branding colors, text, and images are to ensure that we incorporate them into each pin that we create.
Now we work!
We search Pinterest and research Keywords that would be similar to what you are offering and see what pins look like in this area for inspiration. Then we use photo software like Canva, Photoshop, or Gimp to create a unique pin for you. We ensure that it fits the requirements of Pinterest regarding size and visibility to ensure that Pinterest views it as a “Fresh Pin.” Each manager will offer different packages for the number of Pins created per month. On average Pinterest Managers will typically create between 10-15 Pins each month.
Once Pins are created we schedule them either with Tailwind or Pinterest scheduler. This helps us ensure that all your pins are going out at the best time and to the most relevant boards. We will also schedule the curated content that we will be posting for you. Pinterest typically likes you to post about 70% of your own content and 30% curated content. From here you will be launched and everything will be rolling.
Pinterest Managers will look at the statistics of posts every few days to see how things are going, which pins are performing the best, which boards are getting the most traction, and which hashtag has been searched the most. We will collect this data and send you a report either weekly or monthly.
This is the basis of what a Pinterest Manager does daily. It’s a very creative and analytical job.
